After losing her own lashes to her cancer treatment, which included surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy, Vicky quickly mastered the art of applying fake lashes. A decade later, she decided to put 10 years of professional experience into the development of easy-to-apply, individual V-shaped eyelashes.
Designed specifically with young cancer-warriors in mind and suitable for all, Vicky’s V-lashes sculpt the natural lashes one by one for a subtle, open-eye effect, and fill in those areas affected by lash loss.
Again, beauty is so much more than meets the eye. Feeling beautiful is a critical form of autonomy that helps all young people, not just those battlig cancer, build self-confidence and empowers their self-expression.
Vicky’s own cancer journey began at age 19, an already vulnerable time in a young woman’s life. If the trials of adolescence and young adulthood were not destabilizing enough, cancer can wreak irrevocable harm on one’s self-imag e and sense of identity.
For Vicky, beauty became more than an essential act of self-care, it became an act of defiance. Makeup became her medicine.
